Dear friends from the BastaDobbs.com campaign,
I’m working with Presente.org in this amazing effort to retire Dobbs from CNN. As you know, we are asking each of our partners across the nation to join the campaign by organizing a press conference with your local community and faith leaders as well as with local legislators on the eve of CNN’s Latino in America series: meaning this Wednesday Oct. 21.
Attached is the suggested Press Advisory for the press conference and talking points in Spanish. We are suggesting to have the press conference at 12noon in your local community. For some folks, like in the case of Boston, it will happen at 11am instead just because it’s a better time to get press.
We need to know as soon as possible the location for your press conference and the key speakers for it; we are also sending a national press release and we want to highlight the actions taking place in each community. Regarding location, if possible, we suggest to have it in a place with a screen so you can play our video at the press conference:
Some of you have also show interest of having a community forum on the campaign also on Wednesday. If you are holding one, please let us know.
You will be receiving a box with visuals for the press conference soon. Laurie from Presente will follow up on this. She will also send the info to hold a conf call this Monday to coordinate futher for Wednesday.
Meanwhile, I will call each of you today and tomorrow to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to call me any time at my cell phone: 301.442.8459.
MIL GRACIAS POR TODO!
