Spotlight on Petra’s Pecado Cast Member Leticia Rodriguez (Clara) Leticia Rodriguez is an accomplished performer, director and producer. Her career began as a professional dancer at the age of twelve. She performed with companies; Discovery Dance Group and Sharir Dance Company, as well as free-lanced as performer and choreographer for independent dance companies, of local as well as national and international repute. Following her career as professional dancer, Ms Rodriguez taught, choreographed and directed, "Believe in Me," an Austin non-profit arts organization that worked in conjunction with Jacque D’Amboise, Director of the National Dance Institute in NYC, to develop character-based educational programs in schools through dance. Ms Rodriguez is the Founder and Artistic Director of Performance Encounters, a performance company committed to "inspiring creative initiative, social action and spiritual growth." She also performs music of her ancestors, with special attention to "boleros of the golden era, 1920-1950s." She is grateful for the opportunity to work with Teatro Vivo, who present stories of the heart, and develop bilingual theater in Austin, que idea hermosa.
