HOUSTON: A SPECIAL INVITATION TO CELEBRATE DEC 10 INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

Oftentimes, we do not have time to pause and acknowledge the work we do collectively to protect and defend human rights and dignity.

In recognition of our collective efforts to create a better world, I have invited Producer Jack Lorenz to come to Houston for an exclusive pre-view of the film The 800 Mile Wall on December 10 International Human Rights Day.

This documentary looks at the “most obvious, the most acute and the most systematic violation of human rights occurring on US soil today”—the deadly results of failed US border policy that has resulted in the death of thousands of migrants. For a trailer, see www.800milewall.org .

Thanks to Rob Block, who secured the Rice Media Center on Dec. 10 International Human Rights Day, we will be able to come together to see this valuable contribution to human rights and at the same time, celebrate all our work in defense of basic human rights.

So pleas join us:
