TAKE ACTION: Houston – KTSU cancels “Latino Jazz”

Last week, KTSU management was forced to cancel Jazz Latino.

The current president of TSU, John Rudley chose to have Jazz Latino taken off the air because, “he did not like Latin Jazz.” That was his justification for his decision, not because of performance, not because of the contribution to the community, nor for any logical reason.

Several high profile individual and community based organizations have come to bat for Jazz Latino. But the most important component of Jazz Latino is you, the individual listener, who has supported Jazz Latino these past twelve years. I urge you to send a message to Mr.Rudley via e-mail and let him know of your displeasure and how his decision has excluded a genre of music as vital as Latin Jazz.

Thank you for your support, regardless of the outcome of this situation I will always be grateful for your listenership and kind words about Jazz Latino.

This is his email address: RudleyJM.
