Global Rally at Chevron 2010 Shareholder Meeting
Wednesday, May 26, 2010
7:00am – 12:00pm
Chevron Building Auditorium
1500 Louisiana Street
On May 26th representatives from communities harmed by – and fighting back against – Chevron are coming to Houston to confront the oil giant at it’s annual shareholder meeting. Across the globe Chevron’s outdated practices are putting our climate and the health of communities at risk. That’s why Chevron is a focus of a growing resistance movement. Community members from Ecuador, Nigeria, Colombia, Indonesia, Angola, Burma, Australia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Canada, Texas, California, Alaska, and Wyoming will be traveling to Houston to represent the communities holding Chevron accountable.
This is Chevron CEO John Watson’s first shareholder meeting since taking over the corporation. Lets come out and let him know we demand more from him and will not stand for the same actions as his predecessor David O’Reilly.
Join us on May 26th of a fun rally outside Chevron Houston Headquarters in support of human rights, environmental and climate justice, and more!
CHECK BACK FOR ADDITIONAL EVENTS IN DAYS LEADING UP TO THE RALLY AND FOR NEW INFORMATION TO BE POSTED IN THE COMING WEEK.
