HOUSTON: Protest the Oil Spiller’s Conference – May 6

Date:
Thursday, May 6, 2010
Time:
11:00am – 1:00pm
Location:
Outside of the Reliant Center at Kirby and McNee Rd
Street:
2 Reliant Park
City/Town:
Houston, TX

Description

We Demand:

1 Stop all offshore oil drilling now!

2 No more lying about the basic facts. The oil companies, the government, the media must tell the truth about what is going on – give environmental scientists and activists, and the public, full access to all information.

3 People are outraged and want to help save the Gulf and its wildlife. The government and industry must support all volunteer efforts to protect the environment and to clean up: no suppression or repression.

4 Bring ALL resources of government and industry, and the expertise of scientists and the energy of concerned people, to bear to stop the spill, prevent any further damage, and clean up any damage. Working people and businesses must be compensated for all loss of income due to the spill.
