AUSTIN: ATCF Fundraiser @ Momo’s 9/12

Come dance to the rhythms of Seu Jacinto, Huerta Culture, and Os Alquimistas at Momo’s Sunday, September 12th, from 8pm till midnight. We will  celebrate the rebirth of Austin Tan Cerca de la Frontera (Austin so Close to the Border)  with a joyful evening of Brazilian music and Latin Funk at Momo’s.  Only $10 at the door.

For over ten years, Austin Tan Cerca’s program has educated Austinites about labor and human rights, fair trade, and the hidden costs of U.S. trade policy.  A former program of the American Friends Service Committee, Austin Tan Cerca is moving out on its own as a full non-profit organization that will continue to serve the Austin community and border region. Its principles and educational mission remain the same.

As you may already know, after 50 years of serving regional, low-income communities, the Austin office of the American Friends Service Committee will close on September 30, 2010.

Come to celebrate and support Austin Tan Cerca and stay tuned for our new logo and new website, coming soon!
