AUSTIN: Town Hall Meeting & Festival @ City Hall – Mar 18, 19

Town Hall Meeting
Members of the Reform Immigration for Texas Alliance (RITA) will convene in Austin where they will join artists and elected officials in a discussion of human rights for immigrants and a response to proposed anti-immigrant legislation in Texas. The event is free and open to the public.

When: Friday, March 18, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Mexitas at 11th and Interstate 35

Festival at City Hall for Peace & Justice
Festival at City Hall will be the city’s first multicultural gathering of its kind, bringing together many of the city’s musicians, activists and organizations in an effort to unite the city’s swelling multicultural communities in a musical celebration. The festival is sponsored and coordinated by multiple organizations including the Austin Center for Peace & Justice, Austin Immigrant Rights Coalition, Reform Immigration for Texas Alliance, and others.

When: Saturday, March 19, Noon-3 p.m.
Where: City Hall Plaza, 301 W. 2nd Street (Cesar Chavez side)

Foro de Artistas y Representantes Estatales

Miembros de la Alianza de Texas por una Reforma Migratoria (RITA) se reunirán en Austin en un foro donde artistas y representantes estatales hablarán acerca de los derechos humanos de los inmigrantes y las propuestas anti-inmigrantes en Texas. El evento es gratis.

Cuando: Viernes, 18 de Marzo, 4 p.m. a 6 p.m.

Donde: Mexitas en la Calle 11 y la Interestatal 35

Festival en City Hall por la Paz y la Justicia

El Festival en City Hall juntara a artistas, activistas y organizaciones locales con el fin de unir a las comunidades multiculturales en una celebración musical. El festival es patrocinado por varias organizaciones, incluyendo al Centro de Austin por la Paz y la Justicia, la Coalición por los Derechos de los Inmigrantes en Austin, la Alianza de Texas por una Reforma Migratoria, y otras.

Cuando: Sábado, 19 de Marzo, 12 p.m. a 3 p.m.
